Neva and Maria trade their usual deep dives for witchy would-you-rather chaos that somehow turns into real talk about truth, growth, and what actually supports a spiritual practice. Between haunted houses, glitter dilemmas, and shadow work, they keep coming back to the same point: choose what helps you move forward, not what looks perfect.

• choosing a truth-telling tarot deck over a gentle one
• ritual mishaps like candles tipping and forgetting a manifestation midstream
• incense vibes versus permanent glitter and what “sparkly” really costs
• mildly annoying ghosts versus constant inconvenient synchronicities
• why we pick a chaotic episode people love over “perfect” nobody hears
• naming perfectionism as a harmful mindset and choosing growth instead
• losing crystals versus losing tarot decks plus ethics and community support
• guides speaking in riddles versus memes and how we actually get messages
• shadow work as weekly practice and the therapy overlap
• working with moon cycles versus working with seasons and the pressure to keep up
• magic tied to emotions versus intention and why intention keeps us out of trouble
• cozy cottage witch versus chaotic urban alleyway witch and why we are both
• what brings us joy right now including plant babies, gardening, and rewriting old stories
• oracle card pull on sound healing, taking action, and letting the path unfold as you move

Please thank you for listening. Yes. And download, like, share, leave it on for your dogs. Leave it on for your plant babies.

Hello Friends And A Fun Plan

Speaker 2

Hi, friends! Hello, friends! And hello, friends listening. Welcome back. This is Lost Girls Podcast. I am one of your hosts, Neva.

Speaker 1

And I am your other host, Maria. We're having we haven't met in a while. We had to do like 30 minutes of life catch up before we did, yeah. And I think 30 minutes is generous. Because I think it was closer to like 40. But you know what? That's fine. We had a lot to catch up on. It's been a crazy month and a half.

Speaker 2

I mean, I know we text every day, but there's some things that you just have to like. You have to tell the story.

Speaker 1

That's true. It's so true. You have to, like, you know, set the vibe.

Speaker 2

Yeah, you immerse yourself in the world and the experience.

Speaker 1

Yes, yes. Also, I just like seeing your face. And you love hearing my voice. I do. I do love hearing your voice. I don't know that I would do a podcast with someone who's like, that's a grating voice. Which, to be fair, I give you a lot of credit because I feel that way about my voice.

Speaker 2

I'm I'm basically, I got all this on my shoulders.

Speaker 1

I'm carrying this whole thing. Truly, you are a saint. You are a saint of the Lost Girls podcast. I'm just, you know, out here trying to make it work. People have to listen to my voice. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.

Speaker 2

But they but they get to also listen to mine, so you know, it balances one of us should have, you know, a pleasant voice to listen to. Well, Maria, I think you have a lovely voice.

Speaker 1

Aw, I appreciate that. You're welcome. You're a filthy fucking liar, but it's okay, though. Oh man. I missed you. I missed you too. Oh man. We're doing a fun episode today.

Speaker 2

We are, because frankly, we need fun. And and and we need to spread the fun. Like deep in my soul, I need to spread the fun.

Speaker 1

Yeah, for real.

Would You Rather Segment Setup

Speaker 1

So we decided to do a um witchy themed would you rather episode. This is gonna be great. This is gonna be these and yeah. So some of them I'm like, I don't know. I'm like, wow, I really hope that's what I'm asking Nima.

Speaker 2

Oh man. So yeah, as we go through these witchy would you rathers, if you want to like let us know in the comments if you would do something different or please, like what would you choose?

Speaker 1

Or if you have other would you rather questions. Um we could try to pepper those in in other episodes too. If people are like, oh my god, do a would you rather, whatever, whatever.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it could be like a segment. It could. Ooh.

Speaker 1

New segment alert.

Speaker

And like then, we immediately both went to hand motions on our audio podcast.

Speaker 2

So for for those of you in the listening medium, we made these like hawk. Hawkins. Hawkins. This is but imagine it was like an alarm bell. An alarm an alarm light, an alarm light going off.

Speaker

Which is our hand.

Speaker 2

Oh no. I am so great at an audio medium.

Speaker 1

Yeah, for real. Clearly, I was made for this. Oh my goodness. Okay.

Speaker 2

Okay. But do you want to do you want to ask first?

Speaker 1

Sure. And I don't, I don't think we have to go in order. I think we can just jump around. Jump around. Wow, we're really hitting the 90s. Jump, jump. Jump, jump. Yeah. Chris Cross. Okay. We're I think as long as we highlight the ones we've done so that we don't redo them.

unknown

Yeah.

Speaker 1

So as long as you're I mean, there's a lot. We're not gonna get all of them.

Speaker 2

Holy, holy three pages. I know. I went crazy. Okay. Are you responsible for highlighting them?

Speaker 1

Uh yeah. I could do that. Okay.

unknown

Okay.

Speaker 1

Is it because you don't know how to highlight?

Speaker 2

I know how to highlight, but I like I didn't want to highlight and then you undo the highlight. Oh, no, no, no, no. You can highlight too if you like. Okay, I will also highlight. Yeah. Cause because we are equals and we split the work.

Speaker 1

Fuck it. Okay. So yeah, I will ask you one first. Oh boy. Alright, I'm just gonna

Tarot Truth Versus Gentle Readings

Speaker 1

start. Okay, Neva. Yes, Maria. Would you rather have a tarot deck that always tells the truth or one that's always gentle?

Speaker 2

I mean So basically, either it makes me cry or or it's like you'll get through it? Yeah. Oh, okay. I guess I would take the tarot deck if that tells me the truth. Yeah. Because like gentle is nice until you need a stanking.

Speaker

Do you need stinkings often? Neva? I should have thought that one through before I came out my mouth.

Speaker 1

Said every brat ever. I love it.

unknown

Oh man.

Speaker 2

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1

I just said that out loud with my mouth. You did. You did. Hey, that's okay. It's also wildly accurate. Sometimes you do need the tarot deck to give you like a harsh reality check. Yeah. You know, you need it to be like, hey girl, nine of swords, ten of swords.

unknown

Like.

Speaker 2

Well, I will say that after Denise talked me off the quitting my job ledge, I I pulled some tarot cards and they're like, yeah, you need to think with your brain, Chica. Yeah. Like, okay. Good call, I guess. Okay. Okay.

Speaker 1

I don't want to, but fine.

Speaker 2

Okay.

Speaker 1

All

Ritual Fails And Fire Safety

Speaker 1

right. Hit me.

Speaker 2

Okay.

Speaker 1

Oh no.

Speaker 2

Would you rather knock over a candle during a ritual or forget what you were manifesting halfway through? And let's be honest. I've done both. I've done both. Yes.

Speaker 1

Oh, oh, oh no. Oh my god. Which would I Okay. Oh my God. Knock over a candle during a ritual. Or forget what I was manifesting halfway through. I have for sure done both of these. Oh my gosh. I guess, okay, I'm gonna go with I'd rather forget what I was manifesting halfway through if only because I'm a fire risk. And so me knocking over a candle, dangerous. Like, I live in a house that's just kindling and you know, in the middle of woods. So I don't need to be starting fucking forest fires out here.

Speaker 2

That's very logical. Avery asked me a few a while back if we needed to get a miniature fire what's it called? No. Fire extinguisher. Oh, oh, I have one already. She was like, Oh, I don't. Avery was like, but do we need a fire extinguisher like just in case for you to keep in your office? I'm like, Yeah, maybe.

Speaker 1

Yeah. I have one I have one in the kitchen, and we also have two fire safety blankets to throw over things. Yeah. I don't. Because again, fire risk.

Speaker 2

Is that better than being a flight risk?

Speaker 1

I'd like to think so. Yeah. Yeah. Flight's not really part of my nervous system response. Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

I'm more a fight or fight.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Yeah. You want to fight or fight? Or fight.

Speaker 1

You choose. I'm good either way. It's true. It's bad. Okay. Here we go. I'm gonna pick a different one. Oh no, I feel like I know your answer to that one. Okay. Would you

Incense Aura Or Forever Glitter

Speaker 1

rather always smell like incense or always have glitter on you? Well, I mean, I'm not a stripper, so I don't know.

Speaker 2

Although I would be like sparkly all the time. I would be like a vampire from whatever that book series is that sparkles in the sun.

Speaker 1

That sparkles, yeah, we won't mention it, but so, so well written, so accurate to lore.

Speaker 2

Classics inspired a classic fan fiction turn novel that wasn't toxic at all.

Speaker 1

No, no, not at all. Yep.

Speaker 2

Okay.

Speaker 1

So yeah.

Speaker 2

I'm going to say always smell like incense. But the funny part of that is anytime I come home from getting Reiki, Avery's like, you smell like incense.

Speaker 1

Is it just like a flat statement? Or is she like, you smell like incense, I don't like it?

Speaker 2

Oh, it's it's mostly just like I can tell that you've been to see Listacea because Lastnaceia smells like incense and now you smell like incense.

Speaker 1

Got it. Got it.

Speaker 2

That's awesome. Yeah, it's it's not like it's not like a judgment, it's just a statement. Yeah, okay. So, so I'm okay with that one. Yeah, I like it. But also, I mean, speaking sparkly, would that get old? I don't know. Would it get old to always be sparkly?

Speaker 1

I'm choosing the glitter option, mostly because fucking, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2

And then you'd get glitter on everything else. I know. You would just like spread sparkle everywhere.

Speaker 1

I'd be like sparkle herpes.

Speaker 2

I don't know. Can I have both? Yeah. Can I smell like incense and have glitter on me? I mean, okay.

Speaker 1

I do like that the two fucking queerest, biased, panned people were like, you know what we're gonna do?

Speaker

Have an episode where we're forced to choose between two things. This is just a punishment for ourselves.

Speaker 1

Okay, but like Porcendolo's nose. How come I can't have both? Yeah, fuck it, both. Both is an acceptable answer. Neither is not. It's our podcast. We make the rule. Exactly. We can do what we want. And I say both is okay.

Speaker 2

Okay, so it's my turn.

Ghost Roommates And Bad Synchronicities

Speaker 1

It is.

Speaker 2

Okay, yep. Okay. Would you rather be haunted by a mildly annoying ghost or cursed with constant inconvenient synchronicities?

Speaker 1

I feel like both of these already happen in my life. My house is for sure haunted by a mildly inconvenient ghost. John just likes to fuck with the lights constantly. But that's it, really. Oh my god.

Speaker 2

Or cursed with what constant inconvenient synchronicities.

Speaker 1

Okay. Alright. I'm going ghost because that's already happening in my life.

Speaker 2

At least with a mildly annoying ghost, you get a little, I don't know, enjoyment. And I don't know if enjoyment, but amusement. It's amusement. Yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Even the kids were like, you know, if the lights are they're like, cut it out, John!

unknown

Like you know.

Speaker 2

What would an inconvenient synchronicity look like though?

Speaker 1

That's what I'm trying. I'm like, is it just being clumsy or is it like fumbling opportunities? Because that feels that feels darker and more insidious than just a ghost. Yeah.

Speaker 2

When I think of synchronicities, I think of like things that seem randomly trying to tell you something. Yeah. So what what would make it inconvenient?

Speaker 1

It was traffic.

Speaker 2

Oh, I mean You know what I mean? Yeah.

Speaker 1

Like, oh, I get traffic on this, or this project is delayed, or yeah, but they're like things that are supposed to happen. Yeah. It's very like it. That feels very um wheel of fortune or tower card energy to me. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Good one.

unknown

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Good one.

Choose Chaos Over Perfectionism

Speaker 1

I got one. Okay. Would you rather record a perfect episode that nobody hears, or I feel like this is a chaotic one everyone loves.

Speaker 2

Oh, chaotic one that everyone loves. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, that's easy, right? Well, okay.

Speaker 1

And also, how is that just not our podcast? Right? Well, I mean, I'm assuming people love it. I love it.

Speaker 2

They do. Also, like, a per perfect doesn't exist, do you know?

Speaker 1

Like that's a weird metric.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I think all of our episodes have been perfect in their chaos. 100%.

Speaker 2

Yeah. So, okay, I've been following a lot of indigenous content creators recently trying to, you know, what what the how does like, you know, white supremacy and racism and patriarchy and all these things, like, what are the small ways that it shows up in our lives? Yeah. And perfectionism is one of those ways.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And that was really eye-opening to me. And so anyway, perfect isn't real. It's not like a real metric.

Speaker 1

No. No, it's not. I like that. Yeah. Always, always chaotic. Always? Yeah. If given the choice, choose chaos.

Speaker 2

Yes. Oh. Would you rather be a cat?

unknown

No.

Speaker 2

Okay. Would you rather your deck call you out or your friends call you out?

Speaker 1

Oh jeez. Oh no. Oh no. I feel like it hurts less if your deck does it. But it's certainly more like impactful if your friends do it. This is like a total like it's like totally a masochist of thing to be like both, honestly. Right. I'd rather I'd rather both. Like if I was doing something that was that it needed to be called out on, yeah, dumb, I would rather my deck was like, hey bitch, stop. And also my friends were like, hey bitch, stop. Like rage quitting your job.

Speaker

Like rage quitting your job.

Speaker 1

Sure, sure, sure, sure. Or moving your entire family to a foreign country because, you know. I don't know what you're talking about. Plans are just plans. But yeah, no, honestly, I'd rather both. I'd rather both. Yeah. It feels yeah, it feels gentler, I guess, if the deck does it. But I don't do well with gentle.

Speaker 2

So yeah. I also think sometimes, you know, when we're reading for ourselves, it can be easy to be like, oh, maybe it means this, it doesn't mean this or the other thing. Oh, it definitely means this other thing. And Spirit's like, bitch, please.

Speaker 1

Yeah, for sure. Yeah. It's like, fine. Now I'm gonna have to send your friends after you. You didn't want to listen.

Speaker 2

Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. It's like you didn't want to listen to me.

Speaker 1

Guess what?

Speaker 2

Yep, yep, yep, yep. Yep.

Speaker 1

Now I feel that. Uh-huh.

unknown

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah, 100%. Oh, that's good. Good one. Okay. Oh, I like this one for you. Okay.

Crystals Versus Decks And Ethics

Speaker 1

Would you rather lose all your crystals or all your tarot decks?

Speaker 2

Okay. So.

Speaker 1

That is a logical yes answer. I love that.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

And while I do use the crystals that I have, lately I've been like, I don't really need all of these, and I kind of want to just like give most of them away. So like, yeah. Like I use some of them sometimes. And when I need them, I am glad that I have them. But more often than not, it lately it's been feeling like something to clean around.

Speaker 1

Yeah. And I will say, like, I feel I feel like I'm more supporting my like community of artists slash witchy people by buying tarot decks from small artists and small businesses and you know individual creators. And we've yeah, we can go into our Kickstarter histories as much as we want.

Speaker 2

I have not bought a single tarot or Oracle deck all year. And I'm doing so great. You're doing so great. We won't talk about the three drums I just bought.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Well, hey, you didn't make a resolution to not buy musical instruments.

Speaker 2

That's true.

Speaker 1

You made a resolution to not buy tarot decks. So that's true. I say win. But yeah, I don't know. I feel like, you know, and there's that whole thing about like we don't know if they're ethically sourced and whatever. And so I feel like I'm like, Crystals had their moment. And I use the ones I have, but I'm certainly not buying any more.

Speaker

No.

Speaker 1

And yeah, it I I'm with you. Yeah. Yeah. I feel much more supportive of my community.

Speaker 2

The ones that I do have, I'm trying to use them in a ways that make sense to me. So like I have some tormulated quartz, and I'd had it for years. And I'm like, I'm gonna use, I had like, I don't know, at least four or five or six of them. Like I'm gonna use these in, you know, the spell or that spell. Yeah. So like, or my Florida water has two quartz crystals sitting on top of them that went out with the moon or you know, whatever. And and also, yeah, back to the we're like digging out pizzas on the earth and expecting it to be okay.

Speaker 1

Right. Yeah. It feels a little it's it's it's an iffy practice.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

For sure.

Speaker 2

I think they're useful. I don't know. I would rather I I went for a hike and I found this this rock. I just looked down like this is a cool rock. Yes. I take you home, Rock? And so then I like carried this rock with me on the rest of my hike. And when I got home, I have uh an Oracle card that has been living on my altar, and the color of the rock and the color, like the color um palette, like they match down perfectly. It's like, oh, you live here. I love that. So so yeah.

Speaker 1

That's awesome. Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah, that's perfect. Yeah. You know, I feel like those have more personal.

Speaker 1

Yeah. I would agree with you there.

Speaker 2

Okay.

Speaker 1

Alright, what you got?

Speaker 2

Okay.

Guides Using Riddles Or Memes

Speaker 1

Oh no.

Speaker 2

Would you rather your guides communicate only in riddles or only through memes?

Speaker 1

Oh my god. I feel is that not what they already do? I okay, thank you. Yes. I was like, I already feel like they communicate in riddles. And I'm like, honestly, at this point, I think I might rather memes. Like I think I'd rather if one of my ancestral spirit guides was like, hey, I'm gonna send you the dog in the burning room. Everything is fine. And you know what? I think it would make me feel better. Right? Yeah. Then, you know, whatever vague ass bullshit I sometimes get in riddles that I only recognize in hindsight. And I'm like, thanks for the advice. Oh my god. Right? And I'm like, cool. This didn't prepare me at all. Would have loved a meme about it though. But yeah, I don't know. I I'm going memes. Going hardcore memes. Yeah. Not yet.

unknown

Not yet.

Speaker

Oh my god.

Speaker 1

Okay. Oh, here we go.

Shadow Work And Growth Mindset

Speaker 1

You ready for this? I'm ready. Would you rather do shadow work weekly or never again?

Speaker 2

You know, the times we are living through, I'm pretty much doing shadow work every fucking day.

Speaker 1

Like I was thinking the exact same thing. I was like, also, if anybody goes to therapy, weekly or bi-weekly, this is what you're doing, my guy. Like you're just doing shadow work.

Speaker 2

I mean, okay, the implication of doing it never again, is the implication there that I'm magically fully healed and I don't have to do it. Right.

Speaker 1

Are you enlightened?

Speaker 2

Right. Have like if if by never doing it again, have I reached like complete oneness with all that is? Or is it just like I'm done? And I'm never gonna I'm not gonna grow anymore.

Speaker 1

You're like, this is as good as it's gonna get. I'm fine. I'm f I'm fine with this version. Kinda love that.

Speaker 2

So, oh no. You know, depending on what never again, you know, implies there. Right.

Speaker 1

My guess is that it's never again, it's like good enough.

Speaker 2

I mean, you know, there is a very real you know, to like ne just to just be like, well, this is how I am, and I'm just gonna live like this. And you know, there's definitely no there's definitely an allure to that.

Speaker 1

Yeah, and I think a lot of people live that way. I would say the majority of people.

Speaker 2

I would agree. I think I don't think that's how we put our species on a a path to not sucking, though. Nope, sure isn't, you know, and so you know, someone has to someone has to do that work, and you know, yeah, if I just say like, well, peace out, Girl Scout.

Speaker 1

I did what I could. This is as good as I'm gonna get. So I'm out.

Speaker 2

So, alright. Uh huh. Shadow work weekly. Yeah. If if only because uh it it only because I know that it slowly gets easier.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Growth. Growth, baby. And then sometimes it's harder, but then it gets easier. And then it gets easier. This you know what this question is really like, do you have a growth or fixed mindset? Yeah.

Speaker 2

You know? Unless you're like me, is like, am I never doing it again because I reached complete enlightenment?

Speaker 1

Well, sure. And but which is just okay, well then you did it. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Ah! Okay. What happened? I got tangled in my wires. Not your wires! I got tangled in my wires. Okay. All right. Hit me, baby, one more time.

Speaker 2

Oh, okay. Okay, I'm gonna make say you have to choose this one. Oh, okay.

Moon Work Versus Seasonal Rhythm

Speaker 2

You have to choose. Would you rather only work with the moon or only work with the seasons?

Speaker

Oh no. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. I'm gonna say okay, a couple more times. God damn it.

Speaker 1

I hope the moon doesn't get mad at me, but I'm picking seasons.

Speaker 2

I think I would too.

Speaker 1

Like, I'm a much more I'm much more impacted by the seasons, and that like ebb and flow of energy feels closer to how I function than than the lunar cycles. Like, don't get me wrong, the lunar cycles and my period were tight. But but like, I always forget to do rituals on like new moons, full moons, and whatever, and they don't feel nearly as dramatic or impactful as the seasons happening. I don't know. Um yeah, I'm p I'm picking seasons.

Speaker 2

I think if I had to only choose one, I think I'd also choose seasons because I feel like with the moon, you know, working with the moon, like, and I love doing that, but it also feels like it's a lot of pressure because it's constant and all the time. You know, there's always a new moon, and two weeks later, a full moon, two weeks, two weeks, two weeks, you know.

Speaker 1

Right, or there's this eclipse, or there's this astrological event happening, and you're like, man, I can't keep up, and I always feel like I'm like falling behind with, you know, if you don't set intentions on this, whatever. And I'm like, all right, okay.

Speaker 2

I think we talked about that in our toxic speech episode.

Speaker 1

We did. Yeah. So I'm like, just do whatever it feels right for you.

Speaker 2

Yeah. But yeah, working with working with the seasons, you get is like you said, more of an ep and flow tiger at that one. Yeah. Yeah, that one's tough though. Yeah. But sometimes there sometimes you have time and it's a really big moon for you, and you can do something. But right. Yeah. And I love that. Yeah. I don't have the energy or the stamina to constantly. Yeah. That's a good one. What do you think? One more each?

Speaker 1

Yeah. Okay. That's that feels good. Yeah. Ooh, I gotta pick a good one.

Speaker 2

They're all good ones. Remember, there's no such thing as perfect, Maria. I know.

Speaker 1

Okay. Ooh. Ooh.

unknown

Ooh. Okay.

Magic Powered By Emotion Or Intention

Speaker 1

Would you would you rather have your magic tied to emotions or to intention?

Speaker 2

Okay, I'm going to preface this with saying you need to have both.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I would agree.

Speaker 2

I think I think it's important that you have the emotion and the intention. But if I had to only choose one, let's be honest, my emotions can be chaotic and volatile and ragey. So I think I think I could get in trouble if it was only tied to my emotions. I kind of love that. People like, oops, I just hexed you. My bad. Oh no! How did that happen? It's almost like I intended for it to happen.

Speaker

Yes, yeah, right.

Speaker 2

All right. I Yeah, that's a that's a that's a hard one. Okay, I'm gonna say intention with the caveat that you that you must have both. Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 1

That's good. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Good answer. I know. That's why I picked it for your last one.

Speaker 2

Okay.

Speaker 1

All right. Let's do it.

Speaker 2

All right. Are you ready?

Speaker 1

I'm

Cozy Cottage Witch Or Alley Witch

Speaker 1

ready.

Speaker 2

Would you rather be a cozy cottage witch or a chaotic urban alleyway witch?

unknown

Oh fuck. Damn it.

Speaker 2

Here's the thing. Here's why Maria's going to choose both.

Speaker

Here's why Maria's going to choose both. There's the thing.

Speaker 1

Oh God. Okay. Oh my god, this is so hard.

unknown

Yeah.

Speaker 1

We are so mean. I love it so much. Um. All right. Half this episode is just us going. Yeah, we have no idea. So good. Okay. I think here's the problem. I love the idea of cozy cottage witch, and I love the idea of chaotic urban alleyway witch, but I think the truth is I'm a chaotic alleyway witch who happens to live in a cottage.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I feel like my cottage. I was gonna say, like, you are a cozy cottage witch who frequently goes to the alley to be chaotic.

Speaker 1

Yes, that's true. It's like the alley happens to be my yard, but or the train into the city, but uh yeah, it's it's pretty chaotic in the cottage.

Speaker 2

You're bringing the chaos energy into the cottage 100%. It's big I was gonna say chaos energy in the cottage life.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah. It's big city living, but in it, Cozy Cottage. I love that. It's suburban, suburban Connecticut. Nice. Oh man. Oh, these were hard. These were fun.

Speaker 2

Yes, and I think maybe this needs to be a segment.

Speaker 1

I agree. I think we just need to continually add to this document.

Speaker 2

Yeah, just like one one one an episode. So if if you have listeners, dear beloved listeners, if you have would you rather ideas, let us know.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 2

In comments or emails, or wherever you set up a smoke signal, or send us a carrier pigeon. Oh, I would love a carrier pigeon.

Speaker 1

Love me some birds. Birds are fun. Birds are fun.

Speaker 2

You know what Avery asked me the other day? She said, Do you think dinosaurs tasted like chicken?

Speaker 1

That's a super fucking valid question. I'd be like, eat an ostrich, probably closer to that.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah. Or a crocodile? Or a crocodile? Well, I think they have more in common with probably birds. What's the oldest kind of bird?

Speaker 1

I don't know. I don't know. My heart wants to be like fucking seagulls or some shit. Oh, yeah. You know?

Speaker 2

Yeah, probably.

Speaker 1

Or like pigeons, like some rat bird that hasn't changed in a millennia or five. Guys, if somebody knows the answer to that, please let us know because I'm genuinely curious.

Speaker 2

What's the oldest, longest, longest bird or whatever?

Speaker 1

Yeah. I mean, they're so crazy fucking birds. I also love those memes where there's like a chicken grazing and there's like a T-Rex faded in the background. It's like, never forget where you came from. And I'm like, oh, that's adorable. Maybe T-Rexes did taste like chicken.

Speaker 2

Maybe they did. They had teeny little arms. They did have teeny little arms. Poor T-Rex can't play the trombone.

Speaker 1

Absolutely not. No trombone for them. Nope. They're triangle players at best.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Oh no. Maracas?

Speaker 2

Uh yeah, Maracas. That's a great instrument for a T-Rex to play.

Speaker 1

There we go. Oh my god. Maybe that'll be our other segment. What instrument should all the dinosaurs play?

Speaker 2

Well, a triceratops definitely plays the trumpet.

Speaker 1

Well and Stegosaurus clearly plays the drums.

Speaker 2

100%.

Speaker 1

Oh my god. Alright, well, we did it. Okay.

Joy Check And Plant Baby Updates

Speaker 2

Oh shoot. Maria is bringing you joy this week. Or man. Or year.

Speaker 1

Season. Season. What's bringing you joy? Other than this, which is just bringing me immense amounts of joy.

unknown

What's bringing me joy?

Speaker 1

Well, I've been on break from school, so that's bringing a total of it.

Speaker 2

Oh, is it like spring break?

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, April break. I mean, I go back tomorrow. Oh.

Speaker 2

See, that's less joyful. We did all of ours, like all of our schools does that in March, like around St. Patrick's Day.

Speaker 1

Oh, yeah, no. We do it in April. I know. It's too cold in March. Yeah. So that's that's been fun. And doing projects around the house while being on break and like making our cozy cottage more cozy and also somehow more chaotic, you know, that brings me a lot of joy. I love that. Creating a comfortable safe space for all the chaos that fills it every day.

Speaker 2

That's been bringing me a lot. Embracing the chaos is is always good. That's actually one of my Oracle cards in my Oracle deck. Neva, what's bringing you joy? Uh, well, this, obviously.

Speaker 3

Obviously. Obviously.

Speaker 2

So I had a healing session a while back where I visited a past life version of myself where I was like this energetic life force that was like a steward of the land. And I reclaimed, or I'm I'm currently rewriting the story that I kill plants. I like that. Because in this past life, it was like my my it's like my one job was to protect the land, and I failed. And so I've been like carrying that. So I'm rewriting the story in this present life. Anyway, my tomato babies are I saw! They have their first real leaves, and I was going to put the like like separate them and put them into their own containers to continue growing and big and beautiful, but I was very tired yesterday, so I haven't had it done yet. But it's okay. I think I still have a few days. So anyway, I have plenty of time. I'm I'm I'm I'm I got my little tomato plant babies and my little pepper plant babies and got my garden planned out, and as soon as it stops raining every day, I might be able to get out there and do something. Yeah. But that's bringing me a lot of joy. So like every morning I tell my plant my plant babies that they're beautiful and that I love them. And I sing to them and I pet them.

Speaker 1

I love that! That's so cute. Yeah. So what a fun way to rewrite that story for yourself, too.

Speaker 2

And so yeah, I've been doing a lot of just like mindset sort of work. You know, like with if I decide something is true, then it's true. So I've decided that I'm an awesome plant mom.

Speaker 1

I I'm into it. Hell yeah. So be an awesome plant mom.

Speaker 2

I am an awesome plant mom. It was it was it was flowers and herbs, so like I can direct sew them, and it's not that big of a deal, but it literally made me cry. Oh. Oh, I also give my plants Reiki.

Speaker 1

I love that.

unknown

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

They're gonna be the biggest, most beautiful plants ever.

Speaker 1

They really are. They for sure are. You're gonna get the juiciest motherfucking tomatoes.

Speaker 2

Everyone's gonna be like, damn, girly, the best tomatoes ever! Uh yeah! They are. Take my money for your tomatoes, mate. Yes. But I'll trade they're my tomatoes.

Speaker 1

I'll trade you a service or some service. Ooh, that's good. I love a I love a good barter.

Speaker 2

Trade you for some you know fresh eggs.

Speaker 1

Mmm, see, there you go.

Speaker 2

That's that's that's the future, man.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I'm all about the barter. Yeah, I think it's great.

Oracle Card Pull On Sound Healing

Speaker 2

Well, shall I pull a card?

Speaker 1

Yes, please.

Speaker 2

So I let's do it. I have my sacred sound alchemy oracle deck. I've had this for a few years, and since I've been researching sound healing, I've been using it more often. Because okay, we're gonna take this one.

Speaker 3

Ooh, what you got?

Speaker 2

So this is this card is Ancient India, and the keywords here are time for action, and everyone begins somewhere.

Speaker 1

Oh, oh my gosh, that's beautiful. Wow. So yeah, I love that.

Speaker 2

So yeah, time for action. You know, if you need to light a fire somewhere, like some of our friends have been doing.

Speaker 1

I do love that. Light more fires, people. Don't trust your government kids.

Speaker 2

So manifesting into material form. Ancient India was a pioneer in the development of sound healing, particularly using the human voice. This card speaks to a need for tangible action.

Speaker 1

I like all that.

Speaker 2

In the Hindu creation story, it was the action of Brahma uttering, quote, the word that brought life into material form. Prior to the utterance, there were just the vibrations without structure. Okay, here's a cool thing that's real. Did you know if you have you take like an amp and put like a plate of sand or a bowl of water on top of it and play certain frequencies, it like rearranges itself into different patterns.

Speaker 1

Into different patterns. I did know that. It's fucking awesome though.

Speaker 2

Music is so cool.

Speaker 1

Music is so cool. Like, I am not a person who can make music. I live with two people who are phenomenal at making music, but I am great at listening to music.

Speaker 2

Well, and that was, you know, Ivan's. Part of my whole, you know, investigating sound healing and what that would look like. I've been saying since before I started teaching, you know, like music heals people, and so now I'm putting that into practice. If you've been sitting on the fence about taking action, this is your sign that now's the time. This card also encourages you to not feel overwhelmed by what might seem like a lot of work to achieve a goal. Every dream, every project, every goal begins with a first step. If you don't know the exact roadmap to get to where you want, you're being supported by the universe and taking the first step. The rest of the map will be made clear as you move forward. Just say yes.

Speaker 1

Well, I think we will end it as we always do with

Final Thanks And Weird Science Facts

Speaker 1

guys. Please thank you for listening. Yes. And download, like, share, leave it on for your dogs. Leave it on for your plant babies. And leave it on for your plant babies. Yes. So good.

Speaker 2

Um that's that's what I need to do. I will just let my plant babies listen to us. They would love that.

Speaker 1

I would I would love a fucking scientific study where there were like two, like a control group that listened to like classical music, and then a group that listened to our podcast, because I want to know what kind of weird fucking shapes those tomatoes are gonna grow into from listening to our podcast. Ooh, that's so good. Ooh, that's so good. Anyway.

Speaker 2

Um there's an there was a study done where um they took water that like they would they would have they would have certain kinds of music, the water pointed at the water, and then they would freeze the water really fast and to see what kind of shape the uh ice crystal is formed into. So cool. And then they took like water from a stream and water from a tap to see what kind of shape the crystal shaped into. And yeah, just nature's cool.

Speaker 1

Nature is cool. I'm gonna look that up. That sounds dope.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Anyway, there's your uh random fact for the day. So yeah.

Speaker

Bye, friends! Thank you, friends. Bye bye, bye, friends.
